Progress is not only happening in the media – artificial intelligence is also advancing rapidly, entering a new era of agent systems.

These are no longer just tools that answer questions, but systems that can plan, make decisions, and act independently. In the lecture by Dejan Petelin and Kaja Kovič, "When AI starts working on its own: the future of agent systems," you will discover how AI can become your new friend and not just a tool.

Dejan Petelin is the co-founder of Pareto AI, a company specializing in the development of advanced AI solutions. He is currently focused on the development of autonomous AI agents for performing complex operations. Before founding the company, he worked in London, where he led a team that brought the company to "unicorn" status, worth more than a billion euros.

His interlocutor, Kaja Kovič, is the director of the AI-D Institute, which brings together visionaries with a common goal: to promote responsible, inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development of artificial intelligence in Slovenia and the wider region. She is also the program director of the Slovenian "smart" conference DIGGIT.

Sometimes it is useful to look back, and that is exactly what last year's SEMPL jury president Nermina Kelič, executive director of UM Sarajevo, will do. She has gained her wealth of experience through strategic and media planning, traditional and digital media buying, social media management, and working for clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Mercator, Raiffeisen BANK, and others.

In her introductory lecture, "SEMPLified: Looking Back, Leaping Forward," she will turn back time and review last year's SEMPLER winners, who stood out with their campaigns and set new milestones. She will shed light on the Adria region through the media lens and conclude by presenting the results of a student survey that reveals which campaigns have attracted the most attention from young people in the past year. And who knows – maybe this lecture will reveal the winner of the evening?
