Richard is CEO and founder, of RED C, a research-based consultancy business that focuses on helping brands to grow.

He founded RED C Research in 2003, having started his career in London at Research International and ICM Research, and then moved to Lansdowne Market Research in Ireland.   Now with offices in Dublin and London, RED C are one of UK and Ireland’s premier providers of research-based consultancy services serving clients worldwide. 

Richard is a well-known commentator on the theory and practice of Marketing Effectiveness and Brand Building, and has published a number of articles and papers on topics such as Distinctiveness vs. Differentiation, understanding and measuring category entry points, and targeting the long tail for growth.   He is also a frequent media contributor and commentator on consumer and business trends, marketing effectiveness and politics in Ireland, the UK and worldwide.

Richard is also the current President of the WIN network, representing over 40 leading market research and insight companies globally.
