What attracts people's attention more on Croatian scene?
Have you ever wondered why Croatia is ahead of Slovenia in terms of advertising and organizing marketing events? These questions will be answered in a candid discussion with Marjan Novak, partner, publisher, and former editor of Marketing Magazin magazine, and Dunja Ivana Ballon, festival and program director at Dani komunikacija, to discuss and offer their unique perspectives.
Dunja Ivana Ballon runs the DK Festival, known for its boldness and atypical creativity, and she is the reason for its success. Every year, the DK Festival attracts thousands of participants, including global leaders, thinkers, and those who do not want to follow the rules but prefer to shape the future of our industry. As director of HURA and IAB Croatia, she leads two influential professional organizations that raise standards, connect leaders, and drive progress across the industry.
The moderator of the discussion, Marjan Novak, brings more than two decades of experience in the field of media and communication. At the age of 17, he was already hosting a radio show on a local station, and later worked in various fields: from radio and television to magazines and press agencies, including a job at the BBC in London. Since 2008, he has been the publisher of Marketing Magazin and has also written the book "Advertising in Slovenia 1990–2020." He co-founded Diggit, PR Day, and Influencer Day events, was the first director of IAB Slovenia, and recently co-founded the Institute for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Ai-d.
