Robert Čoban was born on 27th July 1968 in Bač, Vojvodina, the Republic of Serbia. He graduated high school in Bačka Palanka, and studied at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad. Since 1990, he worked as a journalist - initially as a Novi Sad correspondent of Belgrade's daily, Večernje Novosti, Zagreb's magazine Arena, and Sarajevo-based Naši Dani, as well as for magazines Vreme and Stav.
In 1992, with a group of students, he re-launched a monthly student magazine called Index. After two issues, the entire editorial staff was replaced and subsequently, Nezavisni Index was launched, which will later change its name into Svet, the first magazine launched by the future Color Press Group.
Today, Robert Čoban is at the helm of the largest magazine publisher in the region, Color Press Group which has subsidiary companies in all 6 countries of the former Yugoslavia. The Group publishes 110 magazines, has 25 websites and organizes over 70 conferences and festivals annually.
The company's portfolio includes a number of licensed titles: The Economist, Diplomacy & Commerce (Serbian, Croatian, Montenegro and Austrian edition), Hello!, Brava Casa, Gloria, Story, Grazia and many others.
Among the conferences organized by the Color Press Group are: "Pro Femina", "Food Talk", "The Economist: World in ...", "Digital", "Book Talk", "CSR Serbia", "Serbia Goes Green ", "Teen Talk" and numerous others.
Robert Čoban is correspondent in news magazines "Vreme", "Nedeljnik", "Novi magazin", NIN and daily "Dnevnik".
