Kaya Kamenarič is a graduate journalist close to completing her master’s in Strategic Marketing Communication. She began her career while studying at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, gaining experience across multimedia platforms. For the past four years, she has been writing articles and creating podcasts for Slovenia's largest commercial media house - 24ur.com. Additionally, she is working with the radio station Radio 1, where she is a news presenter and in the past year a radio host.

She is convinced that one of the key qualities every journalist should have is curiosity and she considers herself a very curious person. She has always been interested in various fields. Her interest in other cultures and tourism is the reason she also became a licensed tourist guide at the Tourism and Hospitality Chamber of Slovenia. Because she believes that knowledge of other cultures offers a different perspective of the world, she decided on two study exchanges (in Ireland and the Netherlands) and later moved to Colorado, USA, where she spent some time working in tourism. Determined that all voices - especially those from difficult social environments - must be heard, she has nearly a decade of volunteer experience with the association Zveza Anita Ogulin in ZPM, where she worked mostly with children and the youth. She strongly believes that knowledge is an endless pursuit, which is why she attends and participates in the organisation of various lectures, trainings and round tables.
