Eva Vrtačič on impatience, Richard Colwell on television
At SEMPL, you will once again benefit from the invaluable knowledge and rich experiences of the world-renowned experts, who will be happy to talk to you in person. SEMPL is a great opportunity to learn first-hand everything you need to know about media and marketing trends, so you can adapt your strategies accordingly and thrive in an information-saturated world.
How do modern technologies affect our (in)patience?
The best things in life are the result of patience, which over time produces remarkable achievements. But we humans are increasingly impatient and demand immediate solutions – and successes. At SEMPL, we will therefore focus on answering the question of how brands can better engage their audiences and deliver more effective results by understanding and adapting to the period of impatience.
The phenomenon of impatience, the main topic of this year's event, will be introduced by Dr Eva Vrtačič from the Faculty of Social Sciences, where she teaches anthropology. She is interested in various aspects of everyday life, which is inextricably linked to modern digital technologies. She will tell you how these affect our lack of patience.
TV is definitely not losing its influence and relevance
Richard Colwell, an Irish marketing effectiveness expert, who focuses on helping brands grow with his research and consultancy company RED C Research, will discuss the importance of TV at SEMPL. He is a frequent media commentator on consumer and business trends, and at SEMPL he will draw on his research to shed light on the power of TV in the modern media landscape.
