This year, SEMPL is wearing a new, summer fun image, fully adapted to the atmosphere created at this most exquisite of media trends conferences in the region. You know, what happens in Portorož, stays ... Well, perhaps not exactly in Portorož, since you will certainly not be able to keep to yourself the things you will experience at SEMPL.
And how would you, if you are well aware that only at SEMPL you can come across so many inspiring speakers, who will encourage you to assume a different way of thinking, so many opportunities to spend time with “think-alikes” (and fun-loving individuals), and so many innovative sponsorship activities.
It is this strong identity of the SEMPL brand and high recognisability of the event that is in the centre of a new visual image carefully constructed and conceived by the marketing agency Futura DDB. “Users know what to expect from SEMPL, and in many cases their expectations are connected to their personal experience,” said Robert Križmančič, Art Director at Futura DDB, who perhaps speaks from his own personal experience as well.
“SEMPL is what sells SEMPL,” said Križmančič, which is why they conceived a visual image that stands the test of time and will be able to “support the already known blend of professional and social overachievements of one of the most distinguished regional media and communication conferences.”
“I am proud that today SEMPL is a synonym for an excellent conference in the region and Futura DDB has managed to express its spirit fantastically in all elements of the new image,” further added Valerija Prevolšek, the President of SEMPL.

Eight Golden Awards and the Grand Prix award were awarded at the fourteenth competition at the regional Sempler Awards competition. Slovenian creative agency Luna\TBWA won the Grand Sempler for the best media strategy of the year for the campaign "Laško Duel", which was created and executed for Pivovarna Laško Union.
A nine-member international jury for the fourteenth Sempler Awards Competition for the best media strategies of the year selected 34 finalists from all the entries. 25 shortlisted entries are from Slovenia, 4 from Croatia, 3 from Serbia and 2 from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
