After the first day of the 19th Sempl conference the 15th Sempler Awards Show followed where ten Golden Semplers and the Grand Sempler were awarded. The Grand Sempler for the best media strategy in the Adriatic region went to Grey Ljubljana for “The Bedtime Storytellers” created for the client A1 Slovenija.
This year SEMPL will break records! No less than 89 projects from four countries were entered to the Sempler Awards, regional competition for the best media strategies of the year. The largest number of entries created by agencies, media strategists, advertisers and the media from the Adriatic region was in the categories innovative use of the communication channel and the best targeted campaign (with 14 entries each) followed by the category the best social media campaign (12 entries) and a new category introduced this year the best PR strategic or promotion with ten entered projects.
Did you know that Director of London School of Public Relations (LSPR) graduated in biochemistry? He has a special interest in cell and molecular biology as well as evolutionary science, and is currently an active member of the Royal Institute of Biology. As a media expert he will discuss innovation and crisis management at SEMPL. But why did he shift from biochemistry to media?
This year's TOP SEMPL Award for Media Manager goes to Peter Frankl, a true media man. As the CEO and Editor-at-large of the business newspaper Finance he doesn't represent just the media company but he proves and teaches how to develop companies in all industries, constantly innovating and adapting to customers. His key values are knowledge, curiosity, courage, motivation, commitment, enthusiasm, perseverance, and resilience.
At the 19th media trends conference SEMPL the participants will listen to more than twenty international speakers. They will focus on the most prominent trends that shape the future of the media and communications industry. SEMPL will focus on developing breakthrough ideas, the future of advertising and media agencies, the importance of language and creativity, the role of digital and influencer marketing and technological transformation.

Living between London and Ljubljana, he successfully coordinates business and family life.
